End of Year letter

Hi everyone,
i’m going to write this letter regularly to keep us update about how Bodynova Brazil is currently going and future plans.

 

We are fighting and moving fast to keep everything moving and everyone motivated.  Has been a very excited year here. Our goal to improve life of thousands through yoga reaching more and more people is happening. Our networks is increasing and a lot of connections have been created. 


Overall situation

Business is running smoothly and sales are up Year of Year 100%, closing 2021 forecasting R$ 5M+.
We had much better year in terms of goods replacement in our stock that helped a lot improving our overall revenue.

We are working hard to create a bigger community around the brand, actually I think we must create a community and not a brand.
So with expense of hard working, we hard on all social channels and messagings, like Pinterest, Spotify and Telegram as well.

We also expanded our outreach including 250+ affiliate clients.

We have improved a lot our fulfillment, in fact our warehouse still is same size but the operations are running perfectly.
Our warehouse stuff right now include 3 full time people. We just had 1 extra ppl for 2 days during PRIME DAY (amazon) and will have an other extra during Black Friday. This reflect the update we had in our warehouse, with invoice label instead of paper, tablet and scan reader for picking, various small improvements to increase picking/packing/stocking performance (see sheet with exactly content in each pallet position).

After set back with first counter, we finally find with help of Vanessa a very knowledgable firm, they are helping a lot. In support we have also a lawyer that is helping out to improve our tax structure to reduce tax weight (we close a monthly cheap contract to have full time response).
The enter of Vanessa in term of cash flow and financial analysis support will set our company to an other level.

Our outreach regardings  paid ADS is little decreased in term of ROAS due the change of Facebook and normalization trend of Yoga after 2020 strict lockdown.
We are still not happy with various freelancer we got to run such important part of the company, so we are thinking to internalize the positions.

Summary

FINANCIAL
Forecast gross revenue 2021: R$ 5M, net profit to calculate still.
Cashflow suffered after Taiwan container, we are at minimum, but Black friday will give cash to cover part of Bodynova Germany invoice (40k by 15th december).
Vanessa put already 400+175k reais, the rest to reach 1M will be covered after corporation is set up.

OPERATION
– Logistic:
warehouse is running smoothly, for now the size is fulfilling our wanting, maybe we will have problem in 1 year about the size. Packing can reach a peak of 300 per day with 2 persons operating.
– Customer service: we are really one of the best out there, we answer phone, chat, email, whatsapp, instagram. We have also implemented by with whatsapp. For now demand is enough to be covered with one person. If we grow we need 2 full time on this position.
Digital marketing: we need to put in house – Media buyer, designer, photo/video maker, community/influencer manager. We really need those position to step up.
We need a proper office to put everyone working together, we are suffering to keep culture of the company intact. We need a physical place for people to work in peace and happily.
We are really rocking about SEO, first in all main keywords, including YOGA, INCENSE, YOGA POSITION etc.

MARKETPLACES
Mercadolivre livre is going down, Amazon steady.

IMPORTATION + STOCK MANAGEMENT
We need to improve our forecast of importation, so we can forecast expenses and payments. We need to zero the bodynova germany invoice as fast as possible.
We think we can do that by May 2022.

Expansion

We have 2 things right now, PRODUCTS and KNOWLEDGE about Yoga/products.
We need to add services.

Acquisition
We found a small startup, really small from RIO that has a platform with Online lessons (Fitness, Yoga). We want acquire them putting under our company. Will cost zero for us, we can put them to run the all project gaining bonus based on revenue. For us will be good for lead generation, so we can make those users buy in the online shop. More details will follow

New products
We are running to produce high quality yoga clothes. Will be ready soon.
We will launch soon: 3 dosha essential oils blend, Ceramic Neti pot made in Brazil.

Store + offices
We are looking for a bigger store in Rio with space for office. For now no success, all rents are out of budget. But we think is really essential to have nice place to work all together.

New possible revenue stream
AYURVEDA. 
I got a meeting call with Sri Sri Ayurveda team from India and they are ready to make us import ayurvedic supplement. I would like to keep this project under Bodynova Brazil, so all of us can benefit. Of course before anything i will present the idea. For now i got a fast research and the registration of the products is very complicate, expensive and take a lot of time. I will make deeper research to make it easier. Definitely is a big opportunity.

Conclusion

I think we can aim for 2022 and increase YoY of 50%. For that we need to master cashflow, Ads, community and products developments.
